Confidentiality

It is important for you to understand that what you tell your therapist is
kept confidential. Your explicit consent is required to release information
to a third party, however, the exceptions of confidentiality should be explained to you
by your therapist before you begin therapy.

Therapists are bound by Law to respect your right to this privacy. The
Therapists Licensing Board also requires them to maintain professional
ethics in regard to their client’s privacy. Trusting your therapist to
safely contain information is essential to meaningful therapy.
